Mission

The Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association is a non-profit corporation that strives to foster appreciation and conservation of our wildlife and fisheries, while uniting community in a bond of fellowship and education of our natural resources.

Vision

It is our vision to make eastern Manitoba a better place to live, hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors by protecting and nurturing our habitat and resources.

Educate

We educate our youth and others about the outdoors with our REEL Solutions for Youth, Learn to Fish Programs, and our annual Stocking the Ponds event. The growing list of programs to be held at our Outdoor Education Centre promote safety and education in archery, and firearms as well as other outdoor activities.

Community

Our LdBWA members have a strong connection to the wildlife recreational opportunities in the Lac du Bonnet area. We work and advocate on your behalf to maintain sustainable fisheries and wildlife habitat for all to share & enjoy.

Safety

Personal safety is necessary while enjoying outdoor recreational opportunities. The Outdoor Education Centre is the perfect facility to bring outdoor, survival, and firearms safety training to the community.

Angling

We promote angling and work together with government departments and others in support of sustainable fisheries management for future generations.

Hunting & Trapping

We advocate for hunting & firearm rights and education. We believe in and support research and proper management policies. Our participation in Wildlife Management Committees, game surveys, and research studies reaches back years, if not decades.

Working Together

The LdBWA represents the interests of our members and the community. We work with organizations to achieve our goals and are a supporting member of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation. The projects and activities of the LdBWA not only provide benefit to the outdoors person but provide economic benefit to the community.
