LdBWA offers two Membership Awards: the Member of the Year Award and the Honorary Life Membership Award.

Nominations for LdBWA Member of the Year

The Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association is a volunteer-based organization that recognizes the valuable contributions made by its members. Volunteers play a vital role in our association’s mission and vision and the association would not exist without the countless contributions they make.

As a way of recognizing volunteers, a “Member of the Year Award” will be initiated for a deserving member who has made a significant contribution to the Association over the previous year.

It’s time to nominate a deserving LDBWA member and recognize their contribution!

Award Rules

  • The President of the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association will form an Awards Committee consisting of no less than 3 members of the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association.
  • The Awards Committee will accept nominations for review from the membership on a yearly basis.
  • The Awards Committee will review nominations and select a suitable recipient for the award.
  • Recipients of the “Member of the Year Award” will be presented with a certificate designating them as “Member of the Year”, along with a small gift deemed appropriate by the committee. In addition, a duplicate certificate will be presented that will be displayed in a suitable location along with the other Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association awards and trophies.
  • Certificates will be presented at the Association’s Annual Awards night.

The Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association is a volunteer-based organization and recognizes the valuable contributions made by its’ members. Volunteers play a vital role in our association’s mission and vision and the association would not exist without the countless contributions they make.

As a way of recognizing volunteers who make an outstanding contribution to the association, an “Honorary Life Membership Award” program will be initiated for those select few that are deemed deserving of such an honour. The President of the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association will form an Awards Committee consisting of no less than 3 members of the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association.

The Awards Committee will accept nominations for review from the membership on an as needed basis. This award will not be presented on a yearly basis as it will be reserved only for those who make a truly outstanding contribution to the association well above the norm. Those deemed deserving by the Awards Committee will be given the honor of being made an “Honorary Life Member” of the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association.

Recipients of the “Honorary Life Membership Award” will be presented with a certificate designating them as an “Honorary Life Member”, along with a small gift deemed appropriate by the committee. In addition, a duplicate certificate will be presented that will be displayed in a suitable location along with the other Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association awards and trophies. Certificates will be presented at the Association’s Annual Awards night or a venue determined by the LdB Wildlife Association Board of Directors.

Once receiving “Honorary Life Membership” status, the Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association will pay the membership fees to the Manitoba Wildlife Federation for the member, their spouse, and children under 18 years of age, for the duration of the recipient’s life. The Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association portion of the recipient’s dues will be waived.
